What is an ISR?
Information Service Representatives (ISRs) are Al-Anon/Alateen members who represent their groups at bi-monthly meetings with the Service Board of the San Diego Al-Anon Information Service (AIS). The ISR hence is the link between groups and the Service Board. Groups only have voting rights on important decisions, proposed by their AIS, if they have a registered ISR. An ISR, and an Alternate ISR (AISR), may not be a member of AA.
For further information about the role of the ISR please refer to the 2022-2025 Al-Anon/Alateen Service Manual.
How do groups report a service position change, like registering an ISR?
Visit the SCWS website and complete the "Al-Anon Registration/Group Records Change Form" using the link below to register; Group Rep, Alt Group Rep, Secretary, Treasurer, Intergroup Service Rep (ISR), Alt Intergroup Service Rep (Alt ISR), and other service positions.
Your completed form will be reviewed by the SCWS Group Records Coordinator:
Your updated information will be sent to the San Diego Office to be added to our records.
If changes to this position(s) occur periodically, please continue to submit changes using the same form.
