Your AIS Office can only function with the help of our wonderful volunteers.
So, each month, we highlight one amazing volunteer by having them answer three questions. This month is even more special as the volunteer schedules the volunteers! Thank you for your service, Marlene!
1) What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
I enjoy feeling a part of the larger Al-Anon community, meeting different members, and helping newcomers.
2) What is your favorite piece of conference-approved literature?
“From Survival to Recovery” – Reading this book was very healing and one of the main reasons I have so much hope and faith in this program.
3) What experience, strength, and hope would you share with a newcomer?
In this program, I have met many wonderful people who have opened themselves up and shown vulnerability. Through their examples, I have learned that I can love myself for who I am, and others will care for and love me, too.
