Your AIS Office can only function with the help of our wonderful volunteers. So, each month, we highlight one amazing volunteer by having them answer three questions. Thank you for your service, Sherry W!
1) What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
A. I love meeting Al-Anon members and chatting with them. It's fun getting to know fellow Al-Anon members on a more personal level.
2) What is your favorite piece of conference-approved literature?
A. Understanding Ourselves and Alcoholism
3) What experience, strength, and hope would you share with a newcomer?
A. I would tell a newcomer to try at least six meetings, and if you decide Al-Anon is not for you, we will gladly refund your misery! This program gave me a life I had never imagined, and I will never graduate from it.
OFFICE OPEN THE FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH FROM 10AM-1PM!
August was a great success, and we will continue to be open the first Saturday of the month through the end of the year. Come to the office for the other three C’s—coffee, cookies, and camaraderie!
